Keith McGuire is a self-taught watercolorist, graphic designer and art teacher. Keith's works have been strongly influenced by the locations he has lived. As a watercolor artist, his paintings have always leaned toward a realistic interpretation of nature, birds being of the greatest interest. Keith teaches watercolors and drawing for both adults and children. He has developed a deep passion for passing on what he has learned over 35 years.
Quote from fineartamerica.com:
"I asked my son Mark, What do you want for Christmas, he requested bugs. now he's not seven, he was 23. Dude, I do birds, landscapes, you know, watercolors. He gave me his usual half smile and took off. I thought about it and as kids we had insect collections and I remembered how reflective and shiny the beetles were. Gave it a try, and the reaction I got from friends that saw them surprised me. So, my son has the originals, and he's O.K. with me selling the prints to you! I will continue to create them, and add them to this collection. I love my son!"
